Erte or Romain de Tirtoff, Russian, French, 1892 to 1990, limited edition serigraph on paper, Sister, 1987. The artwork depicts two mirrored female figures in Classical Greek costumes, and a pair of birds sitting on their hands. Signed in pencil, lower right. Numbered in pencil, 210 of 300, lower left. Framed. Romain de Tirtoff was a Russian and French artist and designer known by the pseudonym Erte, from the French pronunciation of his initials. He was a 20th century genuis artist, graphic artist, illustrator, set designer, fashion designer, sculptor of the Art deco era, Russian origin, who worked in Paris and Hollywood.
