Oil on canvas painting by Joseph or Giuseppe Mazzolini, 1806 to 1876, an Italian academic artist. The artwork depicts a portrait of a young woman in cloud scenery. Oval format. Signed by the artist and dated Rome, 1872 on the backside. Inscription Miss Ney, Champlain, New York is on the backside. Grace Caroline Nye, 1851 to 1871, was the sister-in-law of Isaac W. Dyer, a Maine lawyer and politician. Wooden frame. Collectible Fine Art, Portraiture, Historical Americana.
