A pair of Italian Capodimonte porcelain items. A hand-painted porcelain jewelry box with four legs. The box is adorned with a painted genre scene depicting a pair of girls on the top of the lid, a colorful pattern on the sides, gilded rims, and accents. Marked with a manufacturer stamp and numbered 1366/111 on the bottom. A hand painted polychrome porcelain centerpiece in the shape of a basket with flowers. Marked with a manufacturer stamp and numbered 372 on the bottom. Capodimonte porcelain (sometimes Capo di Monte) is porcelain created by the Capodimonte porcelain manufactory (Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte), which operated in Naples, Italy, between 1743 and 1759. Capodimonte is the most outstanding factory for early Italian porcelain, the Doccia porcelain of Florence being the other main Italian factory. Capodimonte is most famous for its moulded figurines.
