Engraved by George Henry Boughton, Anglo American, 1834 to 1905. Signed and dated in the plate lower left. Signed in pencil lower right. Signed by the engraver in pencil lower left. Framed. Thomas Gold Appleton, son of merchant Nathan Appleton and Maria Theresa Gold, was an American writer, an artist, and a patron of the fine arts.
