ANTIQUE 1900 BOOK IN SUMMERTIME BY ROBERT REID
Antique First Edition book, Robert Reid's art album titled In Summertime. Hardcover. With An Introduction by Royal Cortissoz. Published in New York by R H Russell Publisher, 1900. Robert Lewis Reid, 1862-1929, was an American Impressionist painter and muralist. His work tended to be very decorative, much of it centered on depiction of young women set among flowers. The book consists of high quality reproductions of his work. Royal Cortissoz, 1869-1948, was an American art historian and the art critic for the New York Herald Tribune. Inscription on the bookplate: From the Library College of New Rochelle, Gift of Mr E.N. Dart. Collectible Antique Books About American Painting.
