BRONZE SCULPTURE DUCK MOTHER BY EDWARD BERGE
Edward Berge, American, 1876 to 1924, bronze sculpture Duck Mother, depicting a young child holding a duckling, standing above and gazing downward at a mother duck with outstretched wings and an open beak, who is gazing upward at the child. On a circular granite base. Signed E. Berge impressed on the rear of the base. Edward Henry Berge was a sculptor known for his bronze monumental works and figures, created in the traditional manner in contrast with the avant-garde work of his contemporaries.
