ANTIQUE RUSSIAN NICKEL PLATED SAMOVAR BY SHEMARIN
A large antique Russian Imperial nickel-plated samovar or teapot on four legs. Made by The Trading House of The Shemarin Brothers in Tula, Russia. The samovar is adorned with openwork on a base and bakelite handles. Marked with a manufacturer hallmark and other Assay marks on the neck. At the beginning of the XX century, the manufactory products were awarded the Big Silver Medal at the legendary Parisian exhibition. At that time the enterprise produced more than a hundred types of samovars from the Shemarin's house. Antique Russian Tea Pots, Kettles, Samovars, tableware and Collectibles.
