A USSR STALIN'S APPEAL SHOCK WORKER BADGE
A Soviet Badge – is a departmental badge of the Ministry of Ways of Communication of the USSR. It was established by order of the USSR People's Commissariat of Railways dated April 28, 1934, produced from 1934 to 1957 at the NKPS Stamping and Mechanical Plant. The design of the badge was developed by the artists V.O. Elskiy and E.I. Zon. The badge was created in order to encourage the best railway workers, organizers of socialist competition in railway transport.A Stalin's Appeal Shock Worker Badge is made of bronze, in the shape of a screw-nut, in the center of which is a red enameled star, and a carved image of a steam locomotive Joseph Stalin, on top, is an enameled red banner with engraved enamel inscriptions - A Stalin's Appeal Shock Worker. The badge is attached to the rear screw and nut with engraved initials of the Stamping and Mechanical Plant NKPS.
