A RUSSIAN OIL PAINTING ON BOARD BY PAVEL KORIN
Pavel Dmitriyevich Korin (Russian, Soviet, 1892-1967) oil painting on board, etude from Requiem, To the history of Outgoing Russia. Signed in the Cyrillic lower to the center. Framed. Pavel Korin painted a series of portraits, made sketches of the interiors of the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin, prepared several sketches of the composition. It was supposed to be a huge canvas, but he was unable to implement this idea. Circa 1930's.
