An antique 18K gold brooch adorned with micromosaic.
Beautiful and high-quality brooch (also wearable as a pendant) adorned with micromosaic at its center, featuring an Onyx scene depicting St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Framed in 18K yellow gold (acid tested), embellished with hand-carved work and black enamel CHAMPLEVE. Created in Italy during the latter half of the 19th century, likely as a souvenir from the Grand Tour. Well preserved.
