Signed and inscribed: "HORS CONCOURS / L.s BONAME / SELENCOURT.... / FRANCE / EXon Uelle 1900" (machine); "C. Velly" (painting). Circa 1889-1900. Box in painted porcelain. Machine in iron and steel. Measures: 54,5 x 37,3 x 19 cm.


Louis XV style clock. Box made of blue porcelain with decoration of child angels carrying floral motifs. Painting signed by C. Velly. Work made by the master watchmaker Louis Boname for the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1900. Machine signed "HORS CONCOURS / L.s BONAME / SELENCOURT... / FRANCE / EXon Uelle 1900."

Louis Boname was a master watchmaker born in Selencourt (France) on June 2, 1846. He held the positions of Member of the Chamber of Commerce of Besançon and Knight of Honor of the French Legion. This watch was one of his productions for the 1900 Paris Universal Exposition.
