Sefer Yam shel Shlomo on Masechet Yevamot - Altona, 1740 - first edition - signature of the Gaon Rabbi Aviezri Zelig Auerbach Av Beis Din of Posweiler (Elsas), a leading disciple of Rabbi Yonason Eibschitz and one of the writers of his Torah, - his signature is extremely rare.
On the title page, a signature: "אביעזרי זעליג בלאאמ"ו [הק'/הג'] מהור"ר צבי הירש נר"ו".
The signature of the Gaon Rabbi Aviezri Zelig Auerbach Av Beis Din of Posweiler is extremely rare! (not to be confused with his grandson, who was named after him and was Av Beis Din of Halberstadt).
The Gaon Rabbi Aviezri used to study the books of Yam shel Shlomo and discusses them frequently in his works. This volume was also studied by him and he even copied a Kushya from this volume (leaf 51b) and resolved it in his book Shiviti Ezer, Volume I, p. 688 (see enclosed material).
The Gaon Rabbi Aviezri Zelig (1726-1767/1768) born in Brody. Was a leading disciple of Rabbi Yonason Eibschitz and brother-in-law of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef David Zintzheim author of Yad David. In 1763, was appointed Av Beis Din of Poweiler, Elsas. In his short life, he managed to write many volumes of Chidushei Torah, some of which were recently published by his descendants: Shiviti Ezer (3 sections), Orach Aviezri, Daat Aviezri and Mishpatei Aviezri.
In addition to this signature, there is another one with the name "Avraham" (possibly, his son Rabbi Avraham Auerbach Av Beis Din fo Bona, father of the Nachal Eshkol).
