The first section is on Aggadot and Tehillim; the second, on the entire Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim. With many approbations. Title page with an elegant wood engraving signed by the artist. The author was accused that his book contained Sabbatean inclinations leading some to shelve it; therefore, it is extremely rare. In most copies of the book, leaf 7 [following the author's introduction] is missing. Printed on this leaf was an approbation by Rabbi Naftali Katz, author of the Semichat Chachamim, which was given a fortnight after the printing of the book ended, dated 27th of Tishrei 1702. In this copy, the leaf appears and was bound before the leaves, after the title page.

Rabbi David Oppenheim [1737-1836] one of the greatest Geonim of Ashkenaz. Was born in Worms. When he was 20, received his Hora'ah Semicha and when he was 25 was appointed the Rav of Nikolsburg. After twenty years there, he became the Rav of Prague. Leading rabbis asked for his approbation for their books, and he willingly obliged. Authored approx. twenty books on Halacha and Aggadah including Shut Nishal David; however, most of the books were never printed.
[1], 7, 187 leaves. Some leaves are restored with old tape. Some missing text, including that of the approbation of the Semichat Chachamim. 30 leaves were partly completed with another copy of the same edition; some were misplaced. Stains. Moth perforations. Wear. Late binding, complete and fine. Fair-good condition.
