The second Kabbalistic book that was written in Yemen: Lechem Shlomo, by the Kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo ben Rabbi David Hacohen. Handwritten copy. Yemen, [1886]. 


Sefer Lechem Shlomo, Kabbalistic book by Rabbi Shlomo ben Rabbi David Hacohen, one of the greatest Kabbalists of Yemen. [Daian, central Yemen]. [1886]. 


[176] leaves. Copied for the first time by the author's disciple Rabbi Yitzchak ben Rabbi Avraham Vana in 1640. Varied notations on the flyleaf. 


Rabbi Shlomo ben Rabbi David Cohen (born in ca. 1555) - one of the first Kabbalists of Yemen who lived in Daian in central Yemen. In 1635 at the latest, he authored his book Lechem Shlomo, as an addition to the Segulah book by Rabbi Sholom Hakarchi, which was written in ca. 1611. The purpose of the book was to encourage the study of Kabbalah in Yemen. The publishing of the book was funded by Rabbi Avraham ben Shlomo Alvitz and it was widely read in Yemen.
