Sefat Emet on the Torah. First Edition. With the Gilt Title Pages
Sefat Emet by the holy Rav Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leib of Ger. First edition, Piotrkow-Krakow, 1905-1908. Gilt title pages and special chromo leaves. rare. Only a few dozen copies like this one were published in Poland.

Rare and impressive rabbinic copy. Fine, well-preserved original bindings. Title pages with gilt lettering and chromo leaves.

The holy Rav Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leib of Ger [1847-1905] one of the leading Chassidic Tzaddikim. His holy book the Sefat Emet is a basic and most important Chassidic book. His father the Holy Rabbi Avraham Mordechai the son of the Holy Rav the Chidushei HaRim passed away when he was a child and he was raised by his grandfather. When his grandfather the Chidushei HaRim passed away, the community expected him to be his successor, yet he refused to be appointed Rebbe and Admor and followed the Holy Rabbi Chanoch Henich of Alexander. He became the leader of the Ger Chassidic community in 1870. He himself used to write down his Toros on Parashiyos HaShavu'ah and the Moadim on Sunday morning, while wearing his Rabbeinu Tam Tefililn. They were compiled after his passing in the deep and basic book, Sefat Emet, one of the most important Chassidic books.
