Pedigreed! Shut Aryeh Dvei Ilai, copy of Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Hacohen Schwartz of Mád the author of the Kol Arye, his son, Rabbi Naftali of Mad the author of Sha'ar Naftali and Beit Naftali and his grandson the holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shamoly. 

With a list of important subscribers including Rabbi Yeshaya Kerestirer. 


Shut Aryeh Dvei Ilai by Rabbi Aryeh Leibush of Vishnitza. First edition, Premishla 1874. With approbations by the Divrei Chaim, Rabbi Yosef Shmuel Nathansohn, Rabbi Shimon Sofer and the Yitav lev of Siget. 


Additional variant of the first edition, without the foreign translation of the place and year of printing. 


This copy is signed by the holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Hacohen Schwartz of Mád the author of the Kol Arye and with many additional ownership notations by him.

In addition, the signature of his son and successor, Rabbi Naftali Schwartz of Mad the author of Sha'ar Naftali and Beit Naftali.

Many signatures also of his grandson the holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich of Shamoly, who writes that he received the book from the uncle the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Zucker of Bergsas, the author of Migdanot Eliezer, the son-in-law of the Kol Aryeh.


The list of subscribers includes leading rabbis from Hungary and Galicia including the Yitav Lev of Siget, the Kol Aryeh, the Maharam Schick of Chust and many more. 


In Liska, one of the subscribers is 'הבחור השנון כ' אהרן נכד הרב הצדיק זצ"ל לביהמ"ד ע"י הבחור ישעי' שטיינר' - referring to the famed tzaddik Rabbi Yeshaya of Kerestir, who was then in his youth and was the Meshamesh of Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Liska. 


The holy Gaon Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Hacohen Schwartz of Mád [1824-1884] the Rav of Bergsas. Was one of the last disciples of the Chasam Sofer who studied Kabbalah with him. His Rav the Divrei Chaim, the Michtav Sofer and other contemporary Tzaddikim revered him. 


The holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, Der Heiliger Shamloyer Rov [1863-1944] Av Beis Din of Shamloy. One of the greatest Poskim of his generation. Author of the Lechem Shlomo Shlomo and approx. forty additional works. The grandson of the holy Gaon author of Kol Aryeh who raised him and taught him Torah. A leading disciple of the holy Rav author of Kedushas Yom Tov of Siget and a Chassid of his son the holy Rav Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar. Perished with his community during the Holocaust.


Brittle leaves. Small tears. Aging stains. Good-very good condition.
