Set of Mishneh Torah LeHaRambam, I-IV. Berditchev, [1809, 1818-1819]. With an approbation by Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev. One of the volumes is the personal copy of Rabbi Yonah Moshe ben Rabbi Yitzchak Tajir.


[4 volumes], Sefer Mishneh Torah, Hayad Hachazakah by Rabbeinu Moshe ben Maimon. Berditchev, one of the volumes is the [1809] edition and the three additional volumes are copies of the [1818-1819] edition.


* Section I: Madah, Ahava, Zemanim - [1818]. [7], 278 leaves. Blue paper. With approbations including by the holy Rav Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev. Ownership signatures and notations. Stamps of Rabbi David Shne'e Domatz and Ram of Vizhnitz in Grosswardein. The flyleaves are cut and incomplete. Stains. Moth holes. 


* Section II: Nashim, Kedusha - [1819]. [4], 260 leaves. Blue paper. With many approbations including by the holy Rav Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev. Many stains. Some tears and taping. 


* Section III: Hafla'ah-Tahara - The Press of Shmuel ben Rabbi Yissachar Segal Madpis, [1909]. [2], 389, [1] leaves. Owner's signature that was erased with a line indicating this was the personal copy of Rabbi Yonah Moshe ben Rabbi Yitzchak Tajir, Shadar, Rav and Av Beis Din of the Sephardic community of Jerusalem (passed away in 1910), the father of Rabbi Shlomo who was the Chief Rabbi of Damascus. Stamps of Rabbi Menachem Yichyeh Achmar. Moth holes. Cut flyleaves. 


* Section VI: Nezikin-Shoftim - [1819]. [2], 310 leaves. Blue paper. Mispagination. Many owner's stamps including stamps indicating that this volume had belonged to the Jewish community of Harbin, China. Moth holes. Wear to the edges of some of the leaves. 


New, elegant leather bindings. Conditions vary: fair-good to good.
