Elucidation of a Sugya in Tractate Shabbas Handwritten by Maran the Sheves Halevi

Lengthy sheets handwritten by Maran the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wosner the author of Sheves Halevi on a Sugya in Tractate Shabbas leaf 14 and leaf 15.

Two large sheets handwritten by him and with almost no corrections.

The sheets discuss the dispute of the Tosfos and the Rosh on Dinei Tumas Yadayim. The discussion was printed with some textual variations in Chidushei Sheves Halevi Shabbas leaves 51-53 of the book.

Maran the great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wosner [1913-2015] one of Gedolei Hador, Amud Hora'ah. Most of the Morei Hora'ah and Poskim of the recent generation were his disciples or members of his Beis Din. He was a leading disciple of Maran the Maharam Shapiro of Lublin and the Mashgi'ach Rabbi Shimon of Zelichiv, Rabbi Shmuel David Unger of Nietra and Rabbi Yosef Elimelech Kahana of Ungvar.

On the advice of Maran the Chazon Ish, he was appointed the Rav of Zichron Meir. Already in his youth, Maran Kedosh Aharon of Belz said of his yeshiva and Beis Hora'ah that 'four cubits of Halacha in our days are located in Zichron Meir with Rabbi Wosner'.

[2] large, lengthy sheets. Dozens of lines handwritten by him. Minor aging stains and filing perforations. Very good condition.
