Important Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Ephraim Fishel Sussmanen Sofer Rosh Av Beis Din of Budapest - about Leaving the National Council

Lengthy letter handwritten by the famed Gaon Rabbi Ephraim Fishel Sussman Sofer Rosh Av Beis Din of Budapest to the rabbinic Tzadok Kraus, the general secretary of Kollel Shomrei Hachomos. 1928.

The letter contains details about donations and the manner in which they are to be distributed. It also refers to many controversies that were to be settled by Maran the Da'as Sofer of Pressburg.

The letter also deals with the Bikkur Cholim hospital and its management.

At the end of the letter, Rabbi Ephraim Fishel pleads with Rabbi Tzadok to discuss the dispute regarding leaving the National Council.  He notes that it is obvious that it is necessary to leave the National Council, yet there are different approaches to the question of how to treat those who do not.

After his signature, he inquires as to the health of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, the Rav of Jerusalem, who was sick.
