The personal copy of the holy Rav Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrova and the holy Rav Rabbi Yosef Zvi of Skernovich: Ein Yaakov, I-II. Stettin, [1866]. First edition with the Iyun Yaakov elucidation. 


Sefer Ein Yaakov [by Rabbeinu Yaakov Ibn Chaviv], I, Midrashei HaShas with commentaries of previous editions and an addition of the Iyun Yaakov elucidation. E. Shrentzel Press, Stettin, [1866]. With a stamp of the ASdmorim of Ostrova and Skernovich. 


Section I, Berachos - Eruvin: [2], 4, 93, 87 leaves.

Section II, Pesachim - Megilah: [1], 101, 69 leaves. Incomplete copy: without leaves 70-73. 

The title of the book and the titles of some of the elucidations in red ink. 

With stamps "Yosef Zvi Kalisch Av Beis Din of Korteshov and the vicinity the son of the holy Rav of Skernovich" and "Yehoshua the son of the holy Mohrashal of Sosnivich and now in Ostrova". On leaves 1-3 at the beginning of section I, additional stamps of Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrova. 


The holy Rav Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrova (passed away in 1873) the Rav of Sosnovich and Ostrova, the son of the holy Rav Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Leib of Lentshno who was a disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin. After his father's passing, in 1843, was appointed Admor. For thirty years was the Rav of thousands of Chassidim. Some of his Divrei Torah were published in his Sefer Toldos Adam. 


The holy Rav Rabbi Yosef Zvi ben Rabbi Shimon Kalisch (1886-1957) the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov of Biala. Served as the Rav of Kortashov and after his father's passing, succeeded him as the Amor of Skernovich. Was president of Agudas Yisroel in Warsaw. Immigrated to Eretz Yisroel in 1935 and served as the Rav of Bnei Berak. His Divrei Torah were compiled and published in Sefer She'eris Yosef. 


No binding, moth holes, many folds to the corners of the leaves, the title page, [2] first leaves and [3] last leaves are detached, [4] last leaves of section II are missing, fair condition.
