The great Gaon and righteous Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchok Neumann Tz"l was ab"d of Chassidei Belzs in Montreal for over 50 years. Was from the prodigious Chassidim of Belz, disciple of the 'VaYageid Yaakov' of Pupa, and was appointed as Rav in Pupa after the WWII. After the Holocaust he married the daughter of Hgh"tz Rabbi Yaakov Yechezkiyahu Greenwald brother of the 'Arugat HaBosem' of Pupa. He was the uncle of the Admo"r of Belz shlit"a, and was from the most primary people officiating at the Rabbi's wedding. He was known for his righteousness and upright modesty. He passed away in the year 2007 without leaving any children after him.
