Rabbi Avrohom MS Frenkel, [1860-1936. Otzar HaRabbanim 728. The Chatam Sofer and his Disciples, p. 552]. The student of Rabbi Simcha Bunam Sofer, the Shevet Sofer. One of the leaders of the community in Budapest, and of the workers to strengthen Hungarian Jewry. In 1893 he founded the Shas Society in Budapest. In 1905, he was appointed President of the Orthodox Bureau of Hungary and president of the Shomrei HaChomot Association in Jerusalem.
