Letter of greeting from the Admor Rabbi Refael Blum of Kashoy 1989.
Rabbi Raphael Blum (1911-2005) was born in the city of Kashoy [Kosice] in Slovakia, where he was a student of Rabbi Shaul Brach. Before World War II, he founded a Yeshiva in Hungary. After the war in the summer of 1944 he returned to Kashoy and worked to renew the Jewish community, together with other rabbis he permitted more than 200 agunot to be married, known throughout the world for his righteousness and great scholarship.
