Four books in artistic editions:
1. Vilnius, a poem by Zalman Shneur, with illustrations by Hermann Struck. Decorations by S. Rubin. Berlin: Hasefer, 1923.
The poem is printed in red and black ink. Titles of chapters are h decorated. Accompanied by ten illustrations by Hermann Struck. Copy no. 1656 out of a fine edition published in 1700 copies, bound in a binding embossed with gold and silver. Signed on the colophon by Shneur.
32, [1] pp, 25 cm. Good condition. Stains.
2. Dray khasidishen dertzaylungen, by I.L. Peretz. Illustrations by Moshe Faigenblum. Buenos Aires: "Yidbukh" ("bay der gezelshaft far Isidh veltlekhe shuln in Argentine"), 1949. Yiddish.
The book is accompanied by calligraphic decorations, decorated initial words and illustrations in red and black ink.
[3], 27, [2] leaves, 21X31 cm. Good-fair condition. Cover and first two leaves are torn widthwise and restored with pasted paper. More restored tears. Tears. Stains. Last leaf is pasted to back cover; lacking its lower part. Back cover is torn into two. New binding, with tears at margins.
3. Sefer Or Zaru'a, composed by Ya'akov Horowitz. With ten drawings by Nahum Gutman. Tel-Aviv: "Ktuvim", [1929].
A historic pseudo-epigraphic story from the days of expulsion from Spain, based, as it were, on manuscripts found and translated by the author, accompanied by ten expressionist drawings by Nahum Gutman.
44, [3] pp, 27.5 cm. Good condition. Slight defects. Some stains, mostly to binding. Ownership inscription on title page. Blank cardboard binding, with cloth spine. Binding and first and last leaves are loose. Tears and open tears to margins of binding.
4. M. Gur Arieh, The Pioneers (Hebrew), cutout silhouettes accompanied by pioneers songs, compiled by M. Narkiss. Jerusalem: "Bnei Bezalel", [1925].
Twenty pioneers songs and cutout silhouettes by Meir Gur Arieh. The book is dedicated in prit to "My rabbi, first pioneer of Jewish art in Palestine, Professor Baruch Schatz" (Hebrew).
[4], 20, [2] leaves, 23 cm. Good condition. Stains. Creases. Defects to tissue-guards. Creases to binding. Tears and wear at margins of binding.
