Pair of Silver Finials for a Torah Scroll. Israel, 1950s.
[2] silver finials, hammerwork and engraving. Israel, 1950s.
The finials are decorated with lions, the tablets of the covenant and stars of David with "ציון" ["tzion"] in their centers, surrounded by bells hanging on chains, and stars of David at the tops of the finials.
Around the finials, the verse "כי מציון תצא תורה ודבר ה' מירושלים" ["And Torah will go out from Tziyon and the word of Hash-m from Jerusalem"]. Diameter 8 cm, height 33 cm.
Fine condition. Half the bells and some of the chains are lacking.
