Shulchan Aruch Even Ha'ezer of Rabbi Samson Refael Hirsch with Handwritten Commentary.
Shulchan Aruch Even Ha'ezer with handwritten completions on the process of divorce from Rabbi Samson Refael Hirsch.
This Shulchan Aruch Even Ha'ezer was published in Amsterdam, 1815. There is an English stamp from Rabbi Samson Refael (SRH) on the title page along with a marginal English signature from his son, Rabbi Yehuda Julius Hirsch.
This Shulchan Aruch seems to have been used in Rabbi Samson Refael's Beis Din while officiating divorces. The Seder Haget is marked throughout, suggesting that this very copy was used by Rabbi Samson Refael while officiating halachic divorces in his city.
This is a rare historic item that graced the table of Rabbi Samson Refael Hirsch of Frankfurt am Mein, one of the greatest leaders of Ashkenazic Jewry.
