Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch instructed his followers to print the Tanya in every possible place in the world, he says. This is another stage in the spreading of the springs, which means spreading the idea of Hasidism around the world. His followers have printed the book to date in thousands of places, using a portable printing machine. Tanya books were printed even in remote places in the world that hardly ever set foot in the Jewish world.
Some of the copies in this collection have been printed in limited editions and are rare.
