Interesting Letter by the Admor Avraham Weinberg of Slonim

Important and interesting letter by Rabbi Avraham Weinberg, Admor of Slonim, and author of Birkat Avraham, to Rabbi Moshe Blau of Jerusalem. Tiberias, 1938.

Specifications: [1] sheet of graph paper. 28x21 cm. Entirely in his handwriting and with his signature.

Background: Rabbi Avraham Weinberg sent Rabbi Moshe Blau of Jerusalem, head of Agudat Yisrael, a report on a plan of action carried out by the Va'ad Le'umi of the Mandatory Government, which could harm faithful Judaism. He writes: "I here transmit correct, clear, and recognized news, but unfortunately I cannot provide the source." And also: "I request that no one know from whom this report was received, for it could harm us in the future, G-d forbid."

The Admor Rabbi Avraham Weinberg of Slonim [the third] [1888-1985], Admor of Slonim and author of Birkat Avraham, served as a member of Agudat Yisrael's Council of Torah Sages, and as an educator. Born to the Admor Rabbi Noach Weinberg in Tiberias, grandson of the author of Yesod HaAvodah of Slonim, the first Admor and founder of the Slonim dynasty.

Condition: Very fine.
