Kovetz Shiurim, with a Eulogy on the Chafetz Chaim. Extremely Rare

Kovetz Shiurim. Lectures by Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman, shlit"a, with a eulogy on the Chafetz Chaim, by Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman. Baranowitz [1934-1936?].

Specifications: 120, 4, [4] pages, 24 cm.

Lectures by Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman, rosh yeshiva of the Ohel Torah yeshiva in Baranowitz, as printed during his lifetime. The lectures appeared as a serial, booklet by booklet, with continuous pagination. In some of the issues, it is printed that the price of the booklets is dedicated to support the Torah study of the Ohel Torah yeshiva in Baranowitz. Different copies are known, including several combinations of lectures later bound into a book. 30 lectures were printed in the copy before us, followed by a four-page article 'I relate my actions to the king' and finally an article eulogizing the Chafetz Chaim under the title: "An article by Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman which he said about the author of Chafetz Chaim. It is well known that Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman was one of the closest disciples of the Chafetz Chaim, and in the eulogy he quotes several facts from the Chafetz Chaim which he witnessed himself.

Unique Features: This article is especially rare, does not appear in the known copies of Kovetz Shiurim, and was not known to have been printed. Memorial books attempted to reconstruct the eulogy from various sources, and to create a single unit from various known excerpts. The entire eulogy was printed in the Moriah anthology, 5704, material is enclosed. Before us is the article as printed in Baranowitz soon after the eulogy was delivered.

Condition: Moderate. Acidic paper. Some worming holes. Stains. Tiny tears.
