Unique Features: Uncommon work, particularly in its entirety. This is a complete copy of an important edition of the Chamishah Chumshei Torah with commentaries.

Deluxe edition of the chumash with many commentaries and supplements. At the start of each chumash: Chart for the Torah readings for the holidays, rules for Rashi's words, riddles and sayings of the sages in gematria; abbreviations chart and more. Includes the chart of haftarot per the customs of a few communities with the laws of the haftarah. Includes chapters of Psalms customarily recited on each Shabbat. The five megillot were printed with a few commentaries and the Targum Sheni on Megillat Esther.

Each volume has two title pages: The first title page and then another one for the haftarot. In addition, the first section has a copperplate frontispiece with the royal emblem of France at the top and illustrations of Moses and Aharon.
At the end of section two, there is a poem from the printer, in circular form. At the end of the fifth section, there are two poems from the proofreader and arranger, with the printer's emblem in two miniature woodcuts.

Condition: Very fine. Minimal stains. Matching bindings.
