About 125 programs, invitations, letters and paper items, belonging to Tovah Berlin (Papish), a pianist and music teacher in Jerusalem. Jerusalem, Berlin and other places, 1920s-40s (Most are from the 1930s). Hebrew, German and English.
In the collection:
* About 45 programs of concerts and musical evenings: "Party… in honor of 'Ezrat Nashim Society'" in "Palace" hotel, Jerusalem (1932); a concert of the violinist Bronislav Hubermann in "Ohel Shem", Tel-Aviv (1935); Jubilee concert of the Palestine Philharmonic Orchestra (1946); Concert sponsored by the High Commissioner in honor of Mrs. Churchill's Fund for Russia, in YMCA hall, Jerusalem, (1942); Violin Recital by Jascha Heifetz in "Edison", Jerusalem (1950); About 10 programs – "Jerusalem Music Society" – from 1931-1934 (some are printed on postcards); and more.
* About 35 letters sent to Berlin by musicians, musical institutes, students and family members.
* Entrance ticket to a concert with Jascha Heifetz, held in 1932 in "Edison", Jerusalem.
* Invitation to a meeting with violinist Jascha Heifetz following a concert, sent to Tovah Berlin.
* Entrance ticket to a concert with the violinist Bronislav Huberman, held in 1929 in "Zion" hall, Jerusalem.
* About 35 paper items recording the period during which Berlin stayed in Germany: invitations, programs, transportation tickets, correspondence with institutes and music schools, and more. Late 1920s and early 1930s.
