"BaMakhteret" – Volumes I and II, Dedicated and Hand-signed by Menachem Begin – 1959
"BaMakhteret" [in the underground], writings, "special edition for underground members and supporters", by Menachem Begin. Volumes 1 and 2. Tel-Aviv: "Hadar", 1959.
Two first volumes of Menachem Begin's book "BaMakhteret", about the struggle of Etzel against the British prior to the establishment of the State of Israel. On the title page of Volume 1 appears the dedication: "to Moshe, the good friend, this book is given with much affection, M. Begin, Jerusalem, Shvat 1959" (Hebrew); on the title page of Volume 2 appears the dedication: "to my friend Moshe – with affection, M. Begin"; both dedications are handwritten by Menachem Begin.
Vol. 1: [1], 295 pp. Vol. 2: 359 pp. 21 cm. Good-fair condition. Slight defects (mainly at margins). Pages 1-12 in Vol. 1 are almost totally detached. Binding of Vol. 1 is partly detached. Bindings are slightly rubbed and damaged.
