Approximately 25 proclamations and paper items related to Palestine, the struggle against the British Mandate, illegal immigration, etc. Palestine, 1930s and 40s.
Among the items: * Supplement to Doar HaYom 1926, reporting on riots in Jerusalem. * Municipal notice of distribution of questionnaires to those who seek to rescue German and Austrian children. Tel Aviv, [ca. 1938]. * "You Shall Not Kill!", proclamation opposing Jewish terror, signed by intellectuals of the Jewish settlement (Yishuv), 1939. * Proclamations of the Mishmar HaYishuv regarding the illegal immigration ships: the Milos, Pacific and Atlantic, 1940 (Including proclamations with names of some of the immigrants and proclamations containing announcements of a general protest strike in the Yishuv). * "Come and enlist today", proclamation. * Proclamation published by the Etzel calling to fight the Mandate government, 1944. * Issue of "Achdut", published by the Hebrew Communist Party, May 1, 1948, calling for immediate establishment of the State "with equality of sacrifices – all for the sake of victory!". * Two identity cards of the composer Gabriel Grad and one identity card of his wife Rachel Grad from the Mandate period (two issued in 1940 and one in 1946). Two of the identity cards bear the ink stamp "Israel Defense Forces – Operation Betzer" (operation for locating deserters carried out in Tel Aviv in August 1948 during the second temporary truce of the War of Independence). * Two one-day entry permits to Jaffa (one for Gabriel Grad).
