Responsa by the great gaon Rabbeinu Nissim Girodni, Rome, [1545], Rabbi Yitzchak of Latesh, Binyamin Marnyano and Antonio Blado partners press. Decorated leather binding. Copy with lack.

First edition of SHu"T HaRan printed according to the only manuscript ['As we found in the book, which was the only copy in the world']. Some of the responsa in this template edition were written by the printer Rabbi Yitzchak of Latesh and they open with "אי"ל" ["Yitzchak Latesh said"]. Question 2 is found in the same handwriting without the Ran's response. Rabbi Latesh completed it himself: "In the language of Yitzchak of Latesh, one of the printing partners: It is not that I am great in my own eyes that I enter into the thick of the matter to respond to the question before us, which we found in a copy without a response ...'] The printer writes in the colophon: The spirit of Hash-m was instilled within me in that I saw the responsa of the gaon Rabbeinu Nissim reviving the spirit of the questioner, causing the fool to become wise, flying up from the dirt from being cast down, raised up to the highest skies in this work of print to raise the power of my voice to be heard among the people describing how great are the (miraculous) deeds of Nissim which reside in the heavens ...

173 [33] pages. Lacking title page [completed by photocopy] and final page [completed by photocopy]. The first pages are restored in their margins without damage to text. Leather binding with nice embossed decorations. Ancient original [?] binding. Fine condition.
