HaSfarim HaIvriim SheNidpesu BiYerushalayim: The Hebrew books printed in Jerusalem during the first fifty years, 1841-1891, by Shoshana Halevy. Published by the Ben-Tzvi Institute, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, 1963.

Shoshana Halevy's important work on Jerusalem's first books. The first compilation that includes a comprehensive list of Jerusalem's presses from the founding of the first Hebrew printing press in the Holy City in 1841 until the end of the first fifty years. The book lists nearly 700 books pamphlets, leaflets and advertisements from the first-fruits of the Hebrew printing press in Jerusalem.

The book has an exquisite dust jacket with a drawing of Yad Avshalom and an ornate frame designed like the title page of Shevet Mussar. Printed by the partners Yechiel Brill, Michael HaCohen, and Yoel Moshe Solomon.

The dust jacket is heat warped mainly on the spine, except for this, very fine condition.
