The book contains pictures of famous personalities in the fields of science and philosophy, such as Benedict Spinoza, Moses Mendelsohn, Heinriche Heine, Israel Zangwill, Emma Lazarus, Karl Marx aside philanthropists and leaders such as Moses Montefiore, Baron Hirsch, Theodor Herzl, Benjamin Disraeli and others. There are also pictures of Jewish sites such as the Western Wall, Abraham's gravestone, the Metz synagogue, the Beit Yisrael synagogue in Nagasaki [Japan] and others. Each picture is described in print [years of life and activities of the photographed].
