The booklet describes the goal of the yeshiva with pictures of the various wings of the yeshiva. The booklet also contains the dinner menu from the day of the inauguration and a printed picture of the yeshiva building, apparently distributed to the invitees at the inauguration.

'Yeshivat Rabbeinu Yitzchak Elchanan' is written on the title page with the yeshiva's logo, under which is written, "The Yeshiva College - What it is, What it Stands for - A Challenge and a Promise to American Jewry." Sixteen pages of the booklet describe the historic background about the founders and how the yeshiva was established, the goal of Yeshiva University, names of the rabbis who teach there with short quotes in their names about the purpose of the yeshiva, the various classes and curricula. The booklet contains high quality diagrams of the various departments in the yeshiva, [interiors and exteriors]: A general view, the auditorium, the physics building, the synagogue, the library building, the dormitories, the dining room and the gym.

Yeshiva University was founded in 1886. From the start, it combined BA studies with Modern Orthodox values. In 1929, Rabbi Moshe Soloveitchik, son of the gaon Rabbi Chaim, was asked to serve as rosh yeshiva - a position he bore on his shoulders until his passing in 1941. The yeshiva started with only thirty students, and over the years it has grown to hundreds.

Elegant cardboard binding depicting the yeshiva building and courtyard. Elegant menu with picture plate of the yeshiva's building. 16 leaves. 31 cm. Slight tears in the cover. The body of the booklet is in very fine condition.
