Rabbi Isser Yehuda Unterman (1886-1976) was one of the leaders of Mizrachi, the third chief rabbi of Tel Aviv, and later the second Ashkenazi chief rabbi of the State of Israel. He was awarded the Rabbi Kook Prize for Torah Literature for the year 1954.
