Questions and Answers Tzemach Tzedek by the Ga'on Rabbi Menachem Mendel Krochmal, Rabbi of Nielsenburg and the District of Grotto.

The Ga'on Rabbi Menachem Mendel Krochmal, one of the greatest Rabbis of Ashkenaz, a student of the Bach, began to serve as Rav of Nikolsburg and the Glilot from 1848, and worked extensively in repairing agunot after the riots of 1848 and 1849. In his post, he amended many regulations throughout Moravia concerning the leadership of the communities and tax matters, stood for the poor and opposed the heads of the communities and the rich. In his responsa there appears an exchange of letters with the other great sages -Ba`al HaT"az, the "Tosafot Yom Tov", and the "Maginei Shlomo".

On the title page appears a handwritten signature: "Moshe Israel". It is probably Rabbi Moses Israel, Rabbi of Rhodes. And the author of the book "Masat Moshe." and "Efi Shlomo"

Condition: Middle. Hard moth holes in the first third of the book. The rest of the book is in good condition with few holes. Cover not original.
