Printed copy of the address of the King of Jordan to the American Congress, shortly before the signing of the "Washington Agreement". On the title page are the signatures of Hussein, the King of Jordan, and of Queen Noor.
In July 1994, on the initiative of President of the United States Bill Clinton, and after a period of negotiations between Israel and Jordan, the King of Jordan and the Prime Minister of Israel Yitzhak Rabin met in Washington. At the end of the meeting, the "Washington Agreement" was signed, in which the two leaders declared the end of hostilities between Israel and Jordan. This agreement served as the basis for the peace agreement between Israel and Jordan, signed the same year.
