"Souvenirs from the Orient - the Holy Land", an album in a small format containing thirty photographs of Palestine by Felix Bonfils. The photos are mounted on thick sheets; printed beneath each photo is its title (in French). Among the photo leaves are leaves with texts about the photographed sites (in French, English and German).
The photographed sites include: the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Tower of David, the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Tomb of Absalom, the Dead Sea, Mount Tabor and more.
30 leaves of photographs + 30 text leaves. Photo size: 7.5X9 cm, album: 13.5X18 cm. Good condition. Stains (mostly to text leaves. A number of dark leaves). Light creases to leaves' upper corners. Red binding with leather spine and gilt decorations (binding rubbed). Gilt edges.
