AN URARTIAN BRONZE BELL
Iron Age II, 9th-8th century BCE. With two rows of rectangular windows and a gear-like loop. Inside, the iron clapper is still preserved. With nice green patina and in very good condition. 10 cm high. For similar bells, see: R. Merhav, ed., Urartu, A Metalworking Center in the First Millennium B.C.E., 1991, p. 95.
