A LIMESTONE HEAD OF AN AMMONITE KING WEARING THE EGYPTIAN ATEF

8th century BCE. The face is damaged and one eye partly restored. In fair condition and very rare in private collections. 18 cm high. For similar heads see: Rudolf H. Dornemann, The Archaeology of Transjordan in the Bronze and Iron Ages, 1983, p. 284. Ex S.M. collection, Herzliya Pituah.
