A CHRISTIAN TERRACOTTA OIL LAMP
Byzantine Period, 4th-5th century CE. The handle, is decorated with a disc depicting a face, probably of Christ, which "comes to life" once the wick is lit. The nozzle is decorated with a schematic Palm branch/Menorah. In very good condition and rare. 12.9 cm. Published: Y. Israeli and D.
