Autograph letter by R. Moshe Nochum Yerushalimski, to R. Avraham Yitzchak Ha’Cohen Kook thanking him for sending him the sefer Itur Sofrim which R. Kook had recently published. He lauds R. Kook (who was then a young man of 24) with extraordinary honorifics and wishes him continued success in his endeavors.
R. Moshe Nochum Yerushalimski (1855-1916) was known one of the great rabbinical figures of his era. He served as Rav in various important communities, notably Kaminka. He was greatly respected by his rabbinical contemporaries and was close to R. Chaim Halberstam (Divrei Chaim). Author of various seforim including Birchas Moshe and Be’er Moshe.
