Segulah written by a sofer on parchment to protect from all infirmity as prescribed by the Yismach Moshe.
R. Moshe Teitelbaum (1759 -1841) known as the Yismach Moshe was the Rav of Ujhel in Hungary. A student of the Chozeh of Lublin, he was instrumental in bringing Chassidus to Hungary. Though initially opposed to Chasidim, after his son in-law introduced him to the Chozeh of Lublin, he soon became an ardent Chasid. He first served as Rav in Przemyśl and later in Ujhel. Famous as a tremendous Talmid Chochom he received Halachic queries from many Jewish communities and his responsa were published posthumously under the title Haishiv Moshe.
10.5 by 19 cm. Some markings (holes in edges from previous hangings).
