Commentary on the five Megilos by R. Yaakov Kranz renowned as the Dubno Maggid, as well as a eulogy on R. Yisroel Tzaminer. With approbations by R. Akiva Eiger, R. Yaakov Orenstein (Yeshuos Yaakov) and R. Yaakov Lorberbaum of Lissa (Chavas Da’as).
R. Yaakov Kranz (1741-1804) was born in Zhetel near Vilna and served as a Maggid travelling from town to town giving sermons. He was well known for his stories and parables which are repeated to this day. Although there were many Maggidim in his time, he was highly regarded and none less than the Vilna Gaon requested that he inspire him with mussar.
