Collection of Letters by the Admor of Stropkov, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Lipshitz Halberstam

Collection of [16] letters handwritten and signed by the Admor of Stropkov, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Lipshitz Halberstam.

Included among the letters: An interesting letter addressed to Rabbi Naftali Tzvi Trintel ['I received his letter with fifty dollars and I was truly revived ... especially in that you will establish times for Torah study, mainly learning halacha, such as Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, persistently from the beginning to the end because this is the foundation - to keep and to do, and I pray that Hash-m will send you a truly fitting match for your daughter Chana Alta, may the Holy One help you in the merit that you sent me the above sum, and in the merit of my holy fathers ...'] Ketuba D'Irketa with the Admor's handwritten authorization that he knows the couple and testifies that they are indeed married, letter addressed to Yitzchak Nissim [dated: 27 Kislev 1960] regarding the 'Lanir' factory in Chadera which started working on paper production on Shabbat 'and many Jews are profaning Shabbat horribly!' In the letter, the Admor turns to Rabbi Yitzchak Nissim to try to prevent the decree with all his might: "It must be pointed out that the government's giving the factory owners permission to work on Shabbat is an anti-religious decree upon all the workers who haven't found any other work, except for the work in the factory conditional on their working on Shabbat as well, without this, they would not receive work. These souls are calling out to us Help! Help!" and other letters.

Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Liphshitz-Halberstam, the Admor of Stropkov [1908-1995], grandson and student of the Admor Rabbi Shalom Halberstam of Stropkov.
