Pi Shnayim - Chassidic Polemic in Hungary

Polemic booklet against Rabbi Elazar Lowe after he succeeded in being appointed to the Ungvar rabbinate. The booklet brings a sharp letter written by Rabbi Elazar in 1862 against the Admor Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Liska and against chassidut, in order to besmirch him and reveal his opinions to the public. And Rabbi Hirsch of Liska's letter which refers to this polemic.

The Gaon Rabbi Elazar Lowe (1839-1918) was the author of Pekudat Elazar, son of Rabbi Yirmiyahu Lowe, Av Beit Din of Ihel, author of Divrei Yirmiyahu. Among the great Orthodox rabbis of northern Hungary. Served in the Ihel rabbinate starting in 1874. In 1888, he was accepted into the Ungvar rabbinate. In both places, chassidic circles fought him, despite his zealousness for Hash-m's word. This polemic was published by the chassidim when he arrived in Ungvar, to publicize the true opinion of the new rabbi regarding chassidut.
