Collection of 70 early photos depicting interesting scenes from the ultra-Orthodox Yerushalmi lifestyle in the first decades of the 20th century.

Including: various photos of yeshiva students during their daily lessons; a Jerusalem wedding with the chuppah and community in the afternoon; a number of photos of a Jerusalem cheder with the rebbe and children, books open during a lesson; Yerushalmi families at festive meals; group pictures of yeshiva bachurim; family pictures from events surrounding a wedding; a father exploring a handmade model of the Holy Temple with his son; photos of groups of people studying in the Yemenite synagogue; group picture of immigrant children with the walls of Jerusalem in the background, in the framework of the ultra-Orthodox enterprise to absorb these children; photo of girls at the entrance of the general orphanage in Jerusalem; large group gathered for the cornerstone laying of a Torah institution; Yerushalmi children dressed up for Purim and during a 'adeloyada' parade through the city streets; removing the Torah Scrolls from the heichal; parade of the Bnei Akiva youth movement and more.

Some of the photos have handwritten captions on their back.

The photos all measure 9x14 cm., other than a few smaller ones. The photos are of varying quality, some have stains and cracks. Most are in fine condition.
